The Speedmatic is built with a magnetic brake. This comprises two discs with magnets and a 1 kg steel flywheel. You use the resistance lever to turn the one magnetic disc through 10 positions relative to the other. The indication scale shows the setting you have selected. The power increases when you cycle faster and/or at a harder setting. The conventional Cycletrack frame with its broad rubber feet ensures a secure platform for intensive workouts.
