As tenths of a second can often make the difference between winning and losing in professional racing, everything is placed on one card when it comes to material
The lightweight Aspen folding tire from Maxxis not only has numerous World Cup victories to its name, it can even claim a triumph at the Olympic Games. Compared to the renowned basic model, the (ST) version now even goes one better in terms of speed and reduced rolling resistance. The block-shaped lugs in the center of the Cross Country tire give way to a field with a diamond-shaped honeycomb structure to enable even faster rolling behavior without any significant loss of grip. What remains is the large volume, which continues to guarantee excellent rolling characteristics, and the aggressive side lugs arranged in pairs, which provide the necessary cornering grip.
The TeamSpec version combines the profile optimized for racing use with the fast and supple ONE70 carcass (170 tpi).
* It should be noted that the tires with 170 tpi carcass are primarily intended for racing use under suitable conditions. The weight savings and low rolling resistance of the Aspen TeamSpec ONE70 models are at the expense of long-term durability compared to the models with the standard carcass.
