Stems typically don't exceed a reach of 33mm since it's limited by the diameter of both the fork steerer and the handlebar. Over time Intend Blackline have gotten more customer requests for a shorter stem to enhance steering precision. This feedback inspired them to create the Grace DD. To make a short reach of 25mm possible, the handlebar has to be positioned above the steerer tube, meaning you have to cut your steerer accordingly.
