The Kéo Power is a pedal set for experienced cyclists or triathletes wishing to analyze their pedaling strength and improve it. The concept is to measure the strength but also the power and the cadence. With the Kéo Power
the measuring takes place on both pedals. It allows a data exchange with all Bluetooth®-SMART
compatible training computers and smartphones.
Stuffed with electronics besides it's 8 stress gauges, the Kéo Power is a real computer which permanently analyses the effort on the pedal and calculates the developed power with extreme accuracy
(less than 2% deviation). An auto calibration program and permanent measuring of the cadence and power gives the user all necessary information needed for training.
Reed relays are placed on the axles to measure the cadence. The
power and rhythm of that measurement enables the Kéo Power to estimate the Power. The transmitter collects information to send it wireless to the meter to obtain general power.
It is very easy to install and compatible with the
most major cranksets on the market. So it can be installed from one bike to the next. The calibration starts automatically when the system starts to operate.
What will be measured:
- the instantaneous thrust applied by the leg to the
pedal expressed in Newtons
- min. and max. force for each pedaling cycle
- dead points
- the pedaling rate, expressed in
revolutions per minute (rpm)
- energy generated in Watts
- power measured at each spindle
- left/right power balance indicated as a percentage
Designed for reliability. The pedals are made trough an injection process out of carbon. They offer a wide stainless steel platform surface (62-400 mm²) for an excellent pedaling stability and power transmission. Of course the axle has been the subject of particular attention. With 2 ball bearings and 1 needle bearing it builds the foundation for an long operating life. The relay is able to measure forces up to 170 kg, while the axle it self can handle way more. The delivery includes a pair of grey Kéo Grip cleats with 4.5° angular movement.
Compatible with cranksets which have crank thickness less than 16 mm and height less than 40 mm.
