Description of Wolf Tooth 45T GC Cog for Shimano 11-speed - Cassette Extension Sprocket - incl. 18T Sprocket and Spacer - silver

The Wolf Tooth cassette extension cog for Shimano is the perfect choice to upgrade your 11-speed XT or XTR cassette from 11-40 or 11-42 to a 11-45 gear ratio.

For this upgrade you have to remove both the 17T and 19T sprocket + one spacer from your cassette and replace them with the included 18T sprocket and the spacer. After that, first install the Wolftooth 45T cog onto your freewheel body, afterwards the rest of the cassette.

Compatible with XT and XTR 11-40T (CS-M8000, CS-M9000) and XT 11-42T (CS-M8000).

Note: Only with long cage rear derailleur you'll get the optimal shifting performance. Also you may have to install a longer chain.

Doesn't work with 2012 or older SRAM rear derailleur due the position of the upper jockey wheel.

Gut
