With the 148mm boost hubs it`s possible to build up much stronger and stiffer wheels. The distance between the flanges increases from 142mm to 148mm. Comparing to normal hubs the weight of the boost hubs is not essentially higher.
Rear wheel, that is distinctly different where it matters!
The Syntace W35 MX wheel with an external rim width of 35 mm is really wide and also extremely lightweight. Because light weight tyres with thinner side walls that roll better only really start to show good all-round performance when mounted to wide rims, without reduced puncture resistance.

Black aluminium instead of carbon:
The ductile material aluminium has its rightful place in two finger wide rims rolling over sharp rocks, roots and steps. If it was just possible to make sufficiently lightweight rims. It is possible.

360° Syntace ToughSkin:
All round, meaning even inside the bead hook, the rims are shot peened for increased surface density. This cold working process of the aluminium not only achieves a measurable increase in material surface hardness but also creates a "grippier" surface at all tire contact areas for the tire to hold onto. This reduces the the likelihood of the tire to move on the rim under large loads, especially when riding with low air pressure. And reduces the likelihood of tearing off a valve.

HiTorque MX Hub
One of the toughest hubs on climbs and descents. The heart of the Syntace wheels are the Syntace developed and manufactured Syntace Hi-Torque MX hubs (Pat, pend.). Finest turning and machining craftsmanship, inconspicuous appearance, but with superior inner qualities.
Ratchet freewheel: all or none!
The name and the crisp sound already lead to the presumption: the freewheel mechanism of the Syntace rear hub will withstand more than others. The ratchet mechanism which was further refined, guarantees that all teeth engage simultaneously. The 36 teeth, in Germany precision machined high strength ratchets, are driven by four spiral springs.
Even with icy cold winter temperatures the Syntace Hi-Torque MX shows no engagement denials or signs of "chain-push" issues with consequent chain wrap attacks.
The robust flanges are made of high strength 7075 alloy, feature test machine optimized dimensions and are spoke angle matched.
Its strong heart, the butted 17 mm oversize axle as well as the intelligent bearing positioning provide maximum stiffness and life span at lightest possible weight.
