Description of Rotor 2INpower MAS 110 BCD Road Crank compact

Knowing your strengths is helpful, but knowing your weaknesses is like mining for gold.

This is why ROTOR Bike Components introduced their new 2INpower ("twin" power) dual-sided power meter. 2INpower measures power individually at each leg to provide precise data about balance and power output in order to demonstrate where improvements can be made when it comes to pedaling efficency.

"A person with a 50/50 balance in his or her power output is extremely rare, if even that person exists," explained Irene Albacete, lead engineer for 2INpower. "We knew that the next step was to take advantage of INpower's technology and accuracy to develop a dual-sided power meter with the same features as INpower but which could provide power data equally in the right leg and in the left."

An additional pair of strain gauges is placed inside the right crank arm. They measure the performance of the right leg solely. The other four strain gauges are already located in the bottom bracket axle - as in the INpower cranks - measuring the left leg power.

New technologies of the 2INpower cranks are Bluetooth Smart and the integrated rechargeable battery.

Furthermore this crank is equipped with the "MAS" (Micro Adjust Spider). This technology allows more options for a further optimized Q-Ring setup. MAS spiders have a secondary set of bolt holes that allow Q-Ring users to regulate their Q's with more accuracy by offering half increments between the normal "Optimum Chainring Position" settings.

Allied against the wind.
ROTOR Aero components, such as Aero chainrings or the flagship aero FLOW crank, help cyclists maximize their wattage output in the war against wind resistance.
Tapered FLOW crank arms optimize aero behavior, while a smooth, solid aero chainring surface reduces aerodynamic drag.


Get "more” out of your Q-Rings.
“MAS” stands for Micro Adjust Spider and means “more” in Spanish. That’s what this technology is all about: more adjustability to further optimize your Q-Rings. Additional bolt holes allow for intermediate positions between a Q-Ring’s existing Optimum Chainring Positions (OCP).
A standard crank and Q-Ring combination offers approximately 5 degrees of OCP adjustment. MAS together with Q-Rings offer half positions of approximately 2.5 degrees of OCP adjustment. This means you can micro adjust the orientation of your Q-Rings to fine-tune your pedal performance.


Get to know your best effort.
OCA stands for Optimum Chainring Angle and is one of the proprietary metrics offered by ROTOR INpower and 2INpower. OCA is closely linked to ROTOR Q-Rings, as it helps to find the proper chainring setup.
OCA determines the angle in degrees, measured from the upper dead spot (with the cranks perpendicular to the floor) in which the effort barycenter (area enclosed by the torque/force curve) is shown in the TORQUE 360 graph.

Optimum Chainring Position (OCP) represents the different setup positions that ROTOR Q-Rings offer to fit a rider’s distinct pedaling style. Q-Rings feature up to 5 OCP´s, with OCP 3 as an intermediate starting point, all to optimize your pedaling style.
You can determine your OCP if you know your Optimum Chainring Angle (OCA), which can be found by conducting a TORQUE 360 pedal analysis via ROTOR´s 2INpower and INpower User Software.


How Rotor make aluminum cranks lighter.
ROTOR´s CNC-machined cranks feature the Trinity Drilling System, which is a process that drills three full-depth holes along the axis of the crank.
This allows us to remove excess material from the crank arm resulting in a lighter crank without compromising its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio.

Bin von Ultegra 6800 mit Q-Rings auf 2inpower MAS mit QXL-Rings umgestiegen. Nach kurzer Umgewöhnung alles Bestens (Torque Effectiveness um die 80/80 :-) ). Gekoppelt an Wahoo Elemnt Bolt via Ant+. Funktioniert hervorragend. Verwende FSA Innenlager Adapter PF41-86.5-30 mit den Adapterringen A der Rotorkurbel -> läuft sehr leicht.
