Description of Shimano Ultegra RD-R8000-GS Rear Derailleur 2x11 - medium

The RD-R8000 rear derailleur creates a reduction in shifting effort at the lever, at the same time remaining sure, quick and precise. Due to the integrated Shadow RD Technology with its race-proven, low profile design, the derailleur is more compact and fits closer to the frame, ensuring less damage in a crash.

The medium rear derailleur is suitable for cassettes with 11-28, 11-30, 11-32 and 11-34 teeth.

it loves xtr 11-40 cassette
This derailleur works with XTR 11-40 cassette and 36-46 chainrings, which means it will probably work just with 46T chainring as 1x11 setup.
In few weeks I will have a chance to try how it works the new Ultegra RX800 rear derailleur with Rotor 46T Q-ring as my new 1x11 drivetrain. Hopefully ultimate!
Deutlich besser
Der größte Vorteil ist, dass das Schaltwerk beim Sturz durch etwas geänderte Position nix mehr abbekommt.
Ansonsten kein Unterschied zum Vorgänger zu bemerken, außer, dass jetzt alles mit Inbus-Schlüssel eingestellt wird.
Auch mit 11-32 keine Probleme. Eventuell ein Kettenglied kurzer machen, damit die Kette bei klein-klein nicht auf der Strebe aufliegt.
