This Boost version of the Cobalt 3 offers wider rims, thus enables a greater tire selection. Bigger tire dimensions result in better shock absorption and better traction.

The twinpair spoke design forms triangulated load bearing structures, providing superior strength and lateral stiffness, with just 24 spokes per wheel. With single spoke lengths, replaceable without removing the cassette, rotor, or tire its simple to service.
Tubeless ready thanks to hole-less rims: there are no spoke holes through the rim wall or rim bed and therefore no rim tape is needed for a tubeless setup.
Cobalt rims are specifically designed around the lightweight needs and tire widths of xc/trail racers.
Thru axle caps (15x110mm Boost front, 12x148mm Boost rear) are installed.
The freehub is interchangeable with the Crankbrothers XD-Freehub Body (sold separately).
