Description of Rotor UNO Groupset 2x11 - with Hydraulic Magura Flat Mount Brakes

Direct and precise shifting, smooth activation and low "ride" weight were fundamental when developing UNO, which merged the most-desirable characteristics of both electronic and mechanical systems to forge a new category of groupset technology. Hydraulic technology had already been implemented in the areas of brake and suspension systems; UNO applied that same technology to actuate shifting.

Break away from the rest with ROTOR's hydraulic actuated groupset: UNO.
Exclusive, lightweight, low maintenance and technologically distinct, UNO merged the most-desirable characteristics of both electronic and mechanical systems to forge a new category of groupset technology. By partnering with Magura to produce UNO's disc brake system, you get the benefit of more than a century's-worth of expertise in hydraulic brake systems. Thanks to hydraulics, Magura's MT8 disc brakes feature high braking force when you need to slow down fast.

Rotor UNO Groupset - What's included?

Total weight = 1655g, which includes shifters, front and rear derailleur, filled, uncut hoses, rim brake calipers and installation hardware, chain and cassette. Designed for any ROTOR crank either with/without power meter. Crankset is not included.
  • 11-28T UNO cassette included.
  • 118-link UNO chain included.
  • Includes complete bleed kits for both shifting and braking.
  • Compatible with Flat Mount, frame/fork brake mount.
  • Same mineral oil used for both shifting and braking.
  • Compatible with all ROTOR cranksets, oval Q-Rings, and round rings

Braking System

Hydraulic disc braking has been a standard feature of mountain bikes for many years - now it is conquering racing bikes. The RT8 hydraulic brakes developed by Magura, with their post-mount and flat-mount options, form the absolute spearhead of the technology and offer high braking power, fine metering and low weight. The hydraulic lines can be laid much narrower than traditional wire rope hoists. The fine dosage of manual force and the high braking power allow the driver to gain valuable seconds in curves and on downhill runs and leave the good feeling of being in command at all times - even in extreme situations. As an alternative to the disc brake, the UNO is also available in a version with hydraulic rim brake.

Gear Shift

Direct and precise shifting with soft activation at the lowest possible system weight were the specifications for the hydraulic shifting system of the UNO. The rear derailleur and derailleur implement the driver's shift command precisely and quickly. In this unique new development, ROTOR combined the advantages of mechanics and hydraulics into a new generation of shift groups. The index system integrated and adjustable in the switch body allows shift steps between one and four gears. In the event of accidental damage, the rear derailleur can be fixed in one gear, thus enabling the driver to continue driving. The trimming of the front derailleur is easy to handle and allows the use of the increasingly popular oval chainrings - ROTOR Q-rings. Incidentally, this is also the case in case of unfavourable slanting of the chain without grinding on the guide plate.

Rotor UNO Cassette

ROTOR expertise in drive train design is applied to the UNO cassette, resulting in a superlight and precise piece of art. The hollow design from high strength steel combined with 7075 heat treated alloy provides a stiff structure while keeps weigth as low as possible.
Gear steps are designed to always fit your perfect cadence. Surface coating reduces friction and increase durability. It is the perfect cassette to combine with ROTOR UNO groupset but it is also compatible with other 11s groupsets, and those freehub bodies using Shimano/SRAM pattern.

  • Compatible with Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo 11s groupsets

Rotor UNO Chain

ROTOR partnered with KMC to provide a chain designed to be durable, easy to maintain, and 100% compatible with UNO. KMC´s proven technologies complement UNO´s pedigree and feature Bridge: X shaped bridge plates allowing for more quick shifting. Quick Link for easy maintenance and installation and DLC coating for longer lasting performance and smoother shifting.
