Description of Donnelly MXP Folding Tire - 33-622

The MXP offers a unique tread pattern for an amazing all-conditions tire that excels on grass, loose dirt, sand, moderate mud, hard pack and pavement. The MXP is named after the airport code for Milan in Italy, site of a World Cup cyclocross venue that calls for an all-conditions tire.

The tread features a classic profile with several modern updates. Precise grooves in the central chevrons allow the tread to flex while more aggressive side knobs offer traction and control beyond what you might expect. If you could only have one cyclocross tire in your quiver, the MXP is the one to have.

  • Center chevrons and staggered side knobs for all-conditions
  • Side knobs offer superior cornering
  • Soft rubber compound provides extra grip and shock absorption

Customer Reviews
I like the tyre and have had some good spins on them....but, it seems manufacturing consistency is not great. One of the tyres I installed has a "bump". It is not a circular shape, but a circle with a bruise! Mostly this was not a problem, but I had to run it with a tube this weekend and could feel the bump-bump-bump every rotation.
I have ridden 2 b2ws (total 45km) and 75km (+750m elevation) in wet sandy wood on them. Rolls pretty easy on tarmac on 40kmh and 3.5bar. I had zero falls on offroad and could move somehow through not very deep sands, so seems that grip is ok. Really they have 35mm width.
good (maybe)
just received. haven't tested on ride. but : 390 grams instead of 330. no rotation arrow on side, usually it is present on non-symmetric pattern tires. double pressure range (2.4+ bar but "keep inflated 3+ bar" ??).
