Description of Brand-X Ascend Lever Kit V2 Remote - I-Spec II

Ergonomic shifter style remote lever for adjusting the Brand-X Ascend and other cable actuated dropper seatposts. The lever is attached to the left of the handlebar instead of the shift lever for the front derailleur what makes the remote suitable for bikes with 1-speed drivetrains.

The handlebar remote control is directly installed at the brake lever using the Shimano I-Spec II mounting system. Despite the type of attachment, the lever can be adapted to individual requirements thanks to the integrated adjustment mechanism. This allows a vertical alignment of ± 10° and a horizontal adjustment of ± 7 mm.

Only mountable on I-Spec II compatible brake levers. Not compatible with I-Spec A/B.
Included in delivery: remote lever incl. inner cable (1710 mm) and housing (1500 mm)
Material: aluminium 6061-T6 (anodized)

approx. 105 gram (with cable)

Customer Reviews
Weight 45 g (w/o wire and housing). Perfect match with my XT M8000 I-Spec II brake lever, when remote is slided almost all the way towards center of handlebars. Angle adjust is just perfect. Quality build in materials and finish, relative long lever (thumb to pivot distance) makes for effortless dropper action. I'm using the remote with my OneUp Components v2 150 mm dropper.
Well, it's I-Spec II, nice if you have the right type of brake mount and want cleaner handlebar with a 1x system.

But be aware: event if horizontal adjustability matches I-Spec II (compared with the right side, where I have I-Spec II Shimano brake + rear shifter) ... vertical adjustability it is very limited !!!

Practically can't be raised enough to the handlebar to obtain a bigger angle between the brake lever and remote lever (and my brake lever is already oriented in the right down position).

Also, it sits at a further distance than an I-Spec II Shimano shifter, so will not match with the right side.

Otherwise it seem good quality built.

I will use it like this until I'll find a better replacement (for the price).
