Technologies of the Scott Addict RC
Lightweight and Stiffness
By clever layering and reinforcement in certain areas, Scott has achieved increased stiffness on the bottom bracket and headset without compromising on seat stays. In addition, a complete hollow tube construction, a minimum of connection points, and the absence of alloyed components at the drop-out and brake attachment contribute to the remarkably low weight of the frame.

Fully Integrated Cable Routing
The Addict RC has completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronical shifting. This was achieved by Scott's engineers without any compromise on shifting and braking quality, as well as on the stiffness of the head tube. Furthermore, it is surprisingly easy to change cables and maintain the bike.
Lightweight Seat Clamp
The ultra-lightweight seat clamp weights just 12 grams and allows for a very carbon friendly clamp mechanism. This allowed Scott to save even more weight on the seatpost.
Aero Tube Shapes
Scott's patented airfoil design got applied to its main tubes with the goal to optimizing the airflow and reduce the overall drag.
