G-1000 - Probably the best outdoor fabric on the market
With G-1000 you will be prepared for adventures in all climates, from the tropics to the polar caps. It can withstand many years of tough use far from the beaten path. The fact that G-1000 is adaptable makes it arguably one of the best outdoor fabrics on the market.
G-1000 consists of a mixture of polyester and cotton, which is waxed with a thin layer of Greenland Wax. The wax additional protects the material from dirt, wind and moisture. It can applied over and over again and easily washed out with just a few machine washes.
G-1000 Silent - Quiet and soft
G-1000 Silent is a brushed version of the original fabric and is soft and quiet. The brushed finish weakens the fabric somewhat, but in return you get a garment that does not rustle, which is practical for hunting and game preservation work. It is also well-suited for clothing that will be used as much at work as out in the terrain.
Hardwearing: G-1000 is very resistant to wear, this make G-1000 garments perfect for both travelling and life in the great outdoors.
Water Resistant: Greenland Wax makes G-1000 resistant to rain and moisture. This means that you can wear your G-1000 garments during brief showers without getting wet.
Wind Proof: The tightly-spun weave in G-1000 makes it virtually windproof. Once impregnated, it offers complete protection from biting winds.
Breathability: One of G-1000's most impressive properties is its excellent breathability - it efficiently releases moisture from the body.
Mosquito Proof: A well-waxed garment keeps mosquitoes and other flying insects away from your skin. G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
