This lightweight breathable insulation jacket is made for all-year mountaineering but works great for general outdoor activities all year, from trekking to ski touring. To provide optimal protection, insulation, and breathability, Norrøna use a special Octa lining and a premium lightweight aero60, recycled nylon Pertex face fabric (45g/m2) that offers comfortable stretch, wind resistance and breathability. Side panels and cuffs made in flexible warm1 material ensure a good and athletic fit, breathability and prevent bulkiness. The Octa lining (80g/m2) construction and multichannel fibers are very open, allowing a continuous release of body heat to keep you comfortable during your activities. This provides great insulation, excellent breathability, and quick-drying even when wet.
Key features include a warm and weather protective collar and two spacious mid-mounted pockets. The jacket has a technical fit with a Y-cut and articulated arms for good movement while climbing. A longer cut in the back ensures extra protection.
Pertex®
Pertex ® uses incredibly fine yarns, precisely woven to provide a very lightweight yet strong and durable fabric. Its softness allows down and synthetic insulation to fully loft, while the downproof construction prevents the down from leaking through the face. The fabric is windproof. The Norrøna products use different variations, such as Quantum, Classic and Microlight. These have the same fundamental characteristics but vary on weight.
