A reliable companion for explorers and adventurers
The World Runner Carbon 38 rim has been specially designed for multi-purpose use in beach races, on gravel and monstercross bikes. This is particularly evident in its jaw width of 25mm and its 38mm profile.
It will satisfy the demands of the racers and those of the of overnighters and long-distance riders who want to explorer new areas and tracks. As well as having a ground-breaking design, the World Runner carbon is light, stiff and durable.
This version is compatible with disc brakes, hence it is featuring the benefits of a lower rotating-mass and inertia. Classic clincher or tubeless ready tires can be mounted.

Technologies & Features
Carbon Manufacturing
Carbon UD (Unidirectional layup) rim (DUKE is the proprietor of all its carbon rim molds), designed, developed and tested at their premises in the Vendée (FRANCE). For the this rim generation, the developers and technicians have worked on 3 points: weight, comfort and aerodynamics. Thanks to the SLS2 technology they have lowered the weight by 10%, due to the use of high modulus fibers and a new process of molding in sealed enclosure with resins of new generation. This process also allows better filtration of vibrations generated by the particle size of the bitumen. The comfort is improved.
Wide inner rim
A wider profile rim increases the sensation of comfort, for the rider, compared to a similar width tyre mounted on a narrow "standard" rim because of the increased air volume in the tyre. A larger volume tyre also increases grip and speed. The bike is more stable in corners and bends, despite the considerable forces, as the wider rim width holds the tyre in place reducing the likelihood of it rolling under the rim. Mounted on a narrow rim, the tyre tends to "float" unchecked from one side of the rim to the other. The wider rim considerably reduces this "float", and improves bike handling and stability.
Tubeless Ready
The Tubeless compatible rims by Duke (UST, Tubeless Ready and Notubes), only require some Duke rim tape and a Tubeless-ready valve. They can also be used in a classic clincher set up (tyre & inner tube).
SLS (Super Light Series)
The SLS rims are 10% lighter than classic version, while maintaining exactly the same strength and stiffness. The manufacturing process and the type of carbon fiber are different.
In addition to the SLS unique characteristics, the SLS2 is manufactured in a sealed atmosphere and requires no retouching at the exit of the mold. No sanding or varnishing, the finish is exceptional!
