XTENEX Sports elastic laces fit ANY shoe that has an eyelet size of approximately 3 to 4 mm. They are a perfect choice for most activities involving normal foot movement; from everyday wear to running. These elastic laces are a favorite in athletic shoes, hybrid golf shoes, casual shoes, senior shoes, children's shoes and ANY shoe type imaginable. The SPORT is the flagship product of the Xtenex Lace lineup. These were the laces worn by Jan Frodeno (Gold Medalist) and Simon Whitfield (Silver Medalist) during the 2008 Olympic Triathlon in Beijing, China.
The unique design of the Xtenex lacing system solves the problem of lace migration. Xtenex laces have an elastic core and a series of knots along the entire length of the lace at consistent length intervals. Stretch the lace and the knots disappear, allowing you to thread the lace through the eyelets. Release the tension and the knots reappear. More knots between eyelets lessens the tension; fewer knots between eyelets increases tension.
1. Insert lace tip through eyelet.
2. Grab lace tip and a section of lace side. Stretch lace to collapse knots. While stretched, feed the lace through the eyelets until the desired section of lace has been reached. Gently release the lace and knots will reappear.
3. Repeat the operation step by step.
Remember:
* Lace your shoe loosely to start.
* Leaving more knots between eyelets will produce a looser fit.
* Leaving less knots between eyelets will produce a tighter fit.
* For best performance allow some give in the lace.
