Extremely versatile and robust GORE-TEX mountain jacket made of lightweight 40 denier fabric with 70 denier reinforcements in highly stressed areas, a helmet-compatible hood and pre-shaped sleeves. The Ajax jacket is ideal for climbers, mountaineers and hikers looking for an uncomplicated and uncompromisingly waterproof rain jacket.

Features of the Montane Ajax Jacket

• Made from lightweight 40 denier GORE-TEX in combination with 70 denier GORE-TEX in highly stressed areas such as the shoulders, upper arms, chest and hips, where the backpack, climbing harnesses or ropes cause abrasion
• Durable water-repellent coating (DWR) that allows water to bead up
• 12 to 13 stitches per inch (the industry standard is an average of 8 stitches per inch) for strong, clean and durable seams
  3 mm seam allowance throughout
• Preformed sleeves for more freedom of movement, which thanks to the special cut prevent slipping up
• Longer hem on the back for improved weather protection
• Fully adjustable, helmet-compatible hood for a perfect fit even with a warm headgear and helmet
• Adjustable face opening with internal cord exits
• Compression at the back of the head for a tight fit on the head
• Sturdy, stiffened hood, which can be adjusted thanks to the wire edge
• High collar for maximum wind protection of the face
• An internal elastic loop combined with a hook on the back allows the hood to be rolled up and stowed away when not in use in windy weather
• Two map-size A-line pockets with mat YKK AquaGuard® zippers positioned to be easily accessible when carrying a backpack or climbing harness
• Breast pocket with matt YKK AquaGuard® zipper for safe and secure storage of a GPS device or mobile phone
• Ergonomic, light-weight zipper pullers facilitate handling with gloves
• Extremely water-repellent, matt YKK AquaGuard® zipper along the entire length of the front
• wind screen behind the zipper with press stud at the hem, which seals the jacket weatherproof at the bottom
• Roll-up chin guard with fine microfleece lining for more comfort around the mouth and chin area
• Ergonomic zipper on the front for easy use even with gloves
• Shaped, easy to use cuffs with adjustable velcro straps for a tight fit around wrists or gloves
