Description of Continental GP Attack II & GP Force II Folding Tire Set - 622 - 2016

Conti's Vectran and Black Chili technologies have been radically applied to this uncompromising race tire set, specifically developed for the front and rear wheels of race bikes. The GP Attack benefits from its special Black Chili version offering the streamlined 22mm front tire more grip with lower rolling resistance, compared to the previous GP Attack tire.

The GP Force is a powerful rear wheel specialist and with its 24mm section combined with a fast Black Chili compound, it offers excellent traction and road handling thats second to none.

Both tires are made with Vectran puncture protection, a protective belt of super strong and extremely lightweight material beneath the bead. Wear levels can be easily monitored via indicators in the tread, details that show professionals are at work!

BlackChili Compound
This unique tread rubber mixture which is only produced in Continental German factory has revolutionised bicycle tyres. The resultant compound showed a new relationship between grip and rolling resistance. This "Elevated level", as it was previously known, was given the name "BlackChili". The latest polymers, nanoscale soot particles and optimized fillers all guarantee a unique performance, from downhill MTB tyres to the time trial tyres of the ProTour, they are second to none in their respective areas. BlackChili Compound improves rolling resistance by 26% and provides 30% more grip than activated silica compounds. Premium tyres with BlackChili Compound also impress with higher mileage and unlike many multi-compounds, provide a constant ride from the fi rst to the last kilometre.

Vectran™ Breaker
Vectran™ is spun from Vectra liquid crystal polymer, which results in a thread that is thermoplastic and has multifilaments. This semicrystalline material is harder then aramid, has five times higher tensile strength than steel and in addition, is also lighter than comparable nylon thread. Vectran™ maintains these attributes even in the most adverse weather conditions.

TirePositioningSystem®
With the TyrePositioningSystem, the last little bit of what is currently technically possible has been exploited. Motorcyclists have known for a long time: Different demands are made on a front tyre than on its rear counterpart. The narrower front tyre provides reduced wind resistance and better handling. An adhesion-optimised tread mixture supplies the necessary grip especially for wet cornering. The wide rear tyre offers better traction thanks to a larger contact area and at the same time more comfort. Thanks to the fast rolling, optimised tread mixture and the larger contact area on the rear tyre, wear is reduced. The result is a pioneering front tyre and rear tyre system for road racing; to be found in GP Attack and Force combination. New since 2013: The first tubulars featuring the TPS system!

Customer Reviews
Hervorragend
Extrem schnell, wenig Pannen.

Hervorragend
Best tyres I ever bought, super grip on the back wheel
