For XC and Marathon – The Advanced SL X.A.25 carbon rims

Newmen Advanced SL X.A.25 and X.A.30 are further developments of the popular and proven Advanced SL X.22 carbon rim. The aim was to create the fastest possible wheelsets and rims for XC and marathon use.

An important factor in the hunt for seconds is the right rim width. This is a prerequisite for the lowest possible air pressures, which provide a lot of grip with low rolling resistance, without the tyre rolling unpleasantly in corners or risking punctures. Therefore, there are not one, but two successors for the X.22 rim. On test rides, the 25 mm inner width for tyres up to 2.20" and the 30 mm inner width for tyres from 2.25" proved to be ideal.

Optimised wall thicknesses around the entire rim made it possible to achieve an industry-leading ratio of weight to stability. The excellent stability even allows for use on weight-optimised trail bikes and the flat profiles provide the necessary comfort for demanding trail use while still offering outstanding reaction speed when pedalling.

Reliable and quiet – Evolution SL hubs with FADE freewheel

All current Advanced SL and Evolution SL wheels are based on the revised Newmen Evolution SL hubs with FADE freewheel. This is so reliable and stable that Newmen approves all FADE hubs for e-bikes without restrictions.

At the same time, the noise level has been reduced to a minimum by optimising the geometry of the components. Besides the pleasant feeling of riding a quiet bike, there are even practical advantages: The tyre grip can literally be heard in curves, which creates a completely new riding experience. In mass start races, such as marathons, you also don't attract the attention of the rider in front unnecessarily.

The hubs have double-sealed ball bearings with particularly low tolerances and special grease filling for maximum durability.
