The Fox Super Light Steel (SLS) spring from FOX is lighter than titanium springs at a more affordable price. A proprietary surface treatment and stress relief process removes residual stresses from the spring, allowing them to withstand higher stresses. Each spring is optimized by using a smaller wire diameter and fewer coils, creating a lighter spring.
SLS (Super Light Steel) springs are compatible with Fox DHX2 and Van RC rear shocks as of model year 2016. For use with rear shock models before 2016 a special SLS spring retainer (FOX284361) has to be purchased.
