The Shimano SLX 7000 groupset stands out with its sleek new design and high-quality technologies. From the crankset to the rear derailleur, front derailleur, shift levers, and brakes, all the way to the cassettes and hubs. And since, according to Shimano’s system philosophy, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, this is especially true for the SLX as a complete groupset that certainly holds its own against the competition.

The SM-RT70 Ice-Tech rotors feature a three-layer sandwich structure, in which an aluminum core is surrounded by two layers of stainless steel. The aluminum allows for better heat dissipation and reduces the surface temperature of the rotor by up to 100 degrees. Optionally available Ice-Tech brake pads with aluminum cooling fins can further lower the temperature by approximately 50 degrees. The result is high deceleration performance with virtually no tendency to fade.
