The introduction of Shimano STePS for e-bikes sets new standards in design, smooth operation and effortless performance. Shimano STePS is based on a drive unit attached to the frame. Positioning this drive unit around the bottom bracket area distributes the weight to the lower frame for easier handling. The essential electronics are integrated into the drive unit, resulting in a reliable and weatherproof system. The Shimano STePS component group is lightweight and equipped with a powerful Li-Ion battery pack and intelligent power control. This takes you further than ever before.

Thanks to the robust shifter, the rider retains control of the drive at all times. The buttons are smooth with a clear pressure point, providing clear feedback to the rider while riding without the need for a distracting glance at the display. The upper of the three buttons changes the display as needed. The two lower buttons are used to increase or decrease drive assistance. With this intuitive operation, every bike ride becomes child's play.
