Founded in 2005 by Stefan Ytterborn, POC initially focused on the ski racing market. The concepts, technologies and materials for the new helmets and protectors have been developed in close collaboration with POC Lab - the company's own scientific forum of experts from various disciplines and medicine, which ensures that POC's protective equipment is one of the safest and most advanced on the market.
When US athlete Julia Mancuso won gold at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in giant slalom, the images on which she wore a POC helmet and goggle could be seen all over the world. Since then, the brand has also established itself on the bicycle market and has been the official supplier of the UCI World Tour Team EF Education First-Drapac powered by Cannondale since 2014.

Poc Bike Helmets & Protectors - Your Reliable Safety Equipment for the Podium
Poc is undoubtedly a benchmark when it comes to high-quality bike helmets for MTB and road cycling. To ensure maximum safety, comfort and performance, POC engineers its bike helmets always with the entire helmet in mind, which means the interaction of all materials and features. The POC team focuses on the latest scientific research and the user experience of numerous cycling professionals. The POC road helmets of the Ventral series are designed for absolute lightness and aerodynamics, without compromising on safety. When it comes to the POC MTB helmets of the Kortal, Tectal and Coron series the focus is on the robustness and the padding to meet the special demands of aggressive trail and enduro riding.
Let's not kid ourselves: Everybody falls. Even the best fall again and again. It's about getting back up. To make this possible, POC has developed the VDP (Visco-elastic polymer dough) collection. It contains elbow pads, knee pads, back protectors, as well as shirts, jackets, vests and also protector backpacks. In 2018, POC introduced the new SPIN technology to many of its helmet models. Patented SPIN pads absorb the energy that is generated by an oblique impact on the brain.
POC Road Bike Apparel - Specific for Competition & Training
In 2018, a variety of updates and new categories were also introduced for POC's cycling clothing: from the targeted use of fabrics to technical materials, fit and function.
The road bike collection consists of the Raceday line: uncompromising high-performance clothing for competition use made of aerodynamic materials that optimise the airflow in key zones such as arms, shoulders, legs and back.
The AVIP line (Attention, Visibility, Interaction and Protection) provides clothing for training on the road. The name says it all: the jerseys, bib shorts, cycling jackets and gloves come in eye-catching contrasting colors and are equipped with strategically placed ceramic prints that offer high protection against abrasion in the case of a fall.

POC MTB Apparel - Specific for Downhill, Enduro, Cross Country
Also the MTB collection has been completely improved. New features are the inclusion of specific fields of activity for downhill (DH), enduro (EN) and cross country (XC).
For the competition, the Raceday line with its lightweight, elastic and breathable materials is placed on the upper platform and will impress you with its precise fit and advanced aerodynamic fabrics.
The Resistance Line also features new materials and technologies to increase safety on the trail. Proven materials such as Cordura and Kevlar are used here.
The Essentials line complete both the Road Bike and the MTB portfolio and offer everyday bike apparel for women and men.
