Endura Clothing: 25 Years of Experience and Professional Feedback

The Scottish company Endura has been wowing cyclists with its exceptionally high-quality cycling clothing since 1993. Launched by ambitious club rider Jim McFarlane, the first Endura MTB trousers and jerseys in the MT500 range were an immediate hit with a new generation of mountain bikers in the UK and, shortly afterwards, around the world. This initial range was followed by more Endura clothing collections for MTB, road biking, triathlon, gravel and even everyday life, all developed with great attention to detail and cycling expertise. In cooperation with greats such as Danny MacAskill, Tim Don, the Atherton siblings and even the Movistar team, a large selection of innovative products was created, including, in addition to the brand’s tried-and-tested cycling clothing for men and women, also Endura knee pads, protectors, backpacks, eyewear, bags and Endura helmets.

Endura – MT500

MT500, Single Track & Hummvee - Endura MTB Clothing & Equipment to Stand Up to Every Challenge

Endura MT500 is the collection that started it all. More than 25 years on, the award-winning range continues to set new standards when it comes to durability and function. The high-performance mountain bike clothing from the bad-weather experts provides reliable protection in cold and rainy conditions on the mountain trails. The exceptionally breathable and fully seam-sealed 3-layer fabric of the Endura MT500 waterproof cycling jacket and trousers is the ultimate in weather protection. The durable, Clickfast™-compatible Spray baggy shorts and stylish long-sleeved jerseys create a particularly casual look.

Risk can never be 100% eradicated on a mountain bike, but to ensure that the consequences of a fall are not permanent, Endura invests a lot of time and money into researching and producing protectors and helmets. A lot has happened since the first Endura bike helmet was launched in 2017: a 3D-formed Koroyd core has been integrated into the exceptional MT500 full-face helmet, improving energy absorption and significantly minimising the risk of injury. And so with good reason, it was awarded the Outstanding Outdoor Gold Award at ISPO as the lightest helmet in its class.

For the long, remote trail adventures, Endura has designed the SingleTrack collection. In addition to functional clothing, matching helmets and Endura backpacks, this collection includes a particularly impressive variety of stretchy, highly-resistant elbow, shin and knee protectors.

When it comes to durability, Endura Hummvee shorts have been the benchmark for over two decades now and are not only highly versatile, but also feature a wide array of functions, just like the rest of the Endura Hummvee collection, which includes Endura jackets, vests, jerseys and trousers as well as Endura gloves, socks and even youth helmets and cycling glasses.

GV500 – Endura Cycling Shorts, Jerseys and More, for Year-Round Gravel Adventures

When designing the GV 500 collection, Endura brought their experience, technology and materials over from the MTB and road bike sector to create a collection especially for gravel riders, which - whether you want a simple roadie look or prefer casual MTB style - leaves nothing to be desired: in addition to being exceptionally light on your body, every Endura jacket, shorts, bib shorts, jersey and T-shirt has been designed with a sharp focus on ensuring ample space to stow your items, a compact size when packed away and uncompromising ease of use. Particular highlights in the collection include the lightweight GV500 jacket and Endura bib shorts, made of breathable, lightweight and waterproof Exoshell40™ fabric. Featuring a fully seam-sealed construction and treated with a PFC-free, non-toxic, durable water-repellent finish, they provide you with the comfort you need on cold, rainy days to ensure those riding thrills.

Pro SL, FS260, Drag2Zero & QDC – Endura Clothing for Road Cycling PBs

Pro SL is the name of Endura's flagship professional road cycling collection. From the Endura glove and overshoe, to the skin suit and through to the Endura bib tights with stretch zip and DropSeat™ function, the collection has been designed for the most demanding rides and competitions. And to make the best even better, Endura have a range of incredibly lightweight, superbly insulating Pro SL PrimaLoft® items for all the hardcore roadies to wear in severe winter conditions.

For all ambitious, adrenaline-addicted amateur cyclists, the FS260-Pro series combines aesthetics, performance, protection, lightness and comfort to create one unique experience. When even the thinnest of fabrics still creates too much wind resistance, it's best to opt for the Endura Drag2Zero collection, featuring SST™ Aero technology. Precisely positioned 3D chevrons create the special surface silicone topography that optimises airflow over your body. The Aeroswitch road helmet was also tested in the wind tunnel and designed for top speeds, matching the collection’s RoadSuit or short-sleeved time trial Endura jersey and bib shorts. As a trusty companion in any triathlon, the trisuits and vests in the QDC Drag2Zero range have proven their worth and are used by some of the world's best long distance triathletes, such as Ironman world record holder Tim Don.

On hot days and in warmer climates, lightweight temperature-regulating fabrics are needed to avoid heat build-up in the saddle. Endura has created Hyperon for this specific purpose, a collection which also features the ingenious water-repellent DisperseFoam™ from the 500 series, offering superior drying capabilities and dramatically improved breathability.

Urban Luminite & Hummvee – On the road in safety and style with Endura jackets & trousers

For years now, Endura has been working to make not only riding on trails, downhills and high-speed surfaces safer and more comfortable, but also commuting to work or taking a trip to the café. The Endura Hummvee Chino short is testament to this: a smart and discreet, but equally robust version of the iconic Hummvee MTB shorts. Endura’s Urban collection has been designed with practicality in mind, so you can go about your everyday life in comfort even after getting off your bike: reversible 3-in-1 jackets and stretch trousers and jeans with tons of style and clever details. Then there’s the ultra-bright Endura Luminite line, offering a range of hi-viz options with a contemporary aesthetic, so you stay confident and safe cycling around town after dark.

1 Million Trees to Preserve Our Planet: Endura's Journey to Greater Sustainability

Endura has always given priority to producing durable clothing that has as negative an impact on the environment as possible. Endura clothing is completely free from PFC and treated with biodegradable waterproofing agents. What’s more, 98% of the sales packaging currently used can be recycled and 1% of the brand’s net profit goes to charity. Company founder Jim McFarlane, however, is set on the fact that this is not enough to save the poles from melting or stop climate change.

Research has shown that reforestation is one of the most effective solutions in reducing the carbon emissions in the atmosphere, and this is precisely why Endura has launched "One Million Trees". As part of this initiative, the brand has committed to planting one million new trees every year for the next 10 years. They have already begun to plant mangroves in Mozambique, for example, helping to create jobs, revitalise eroded soil and protect important ecosystems and the brand is planning to plant 80,000 birch trees in their homeland of Scotland too.
