Ergotec is backed by a family company whose history began in 1918 in Wickede an der Ruhr. Wilhelm Humpert started out producing handlebars, grips, fenders, and pumps. More than a century later, the business is run by Willi Humpert in its fourth generation and manufactures several million handlebars every year.

In 2009, Humpert introduced the Ergotec brand – a natural evolution of decades of expertise in ergonomic bike components. One year later, the company opened its own test center for handlebars and seatposts – now the largest of its kind in Europe.

• Handlebars: Ergotec handlebars bring together ergonomic shapes and premium AL6061 aluminum to keep you comfortable and in control. Each model carries a Safety Level rating from 1 to 6+.
