In 1928 the shoemaker Narciso Delladio founded his business in Tesoro (Trento). In the early days he made shoes out of wood — so-called “Knospen” — and leather shoes for forest workers and farmers in the surrounding area. In the same year he took part in the Milan sample fair and registered a patent for his special lacing system. After the war, demand rose throughout the region and Delladio could employ more workers. In the 1950s the founder’s joined the company and the family business was born — but now under the name “La Sportiva”.
