How to measure your size
The charts shown include sizing information which may vary depending on the manufacturer and your physique. Knowing your exact body dimensions is key to a perfect fit. The following guidelines should assist you in determining these body dimensions.
Have another person help you to get the most accurate results. Stand relaxed and measure directly on the body. If you are wearing clothes these should have a tight fit so they don't interfere with the measurements. The values shown in the charts are centimeters.
Outwear / Pants
Measure vertically from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet. Stand upright inside a door frame and keep your feet together. Put a book an your head for easier determination of the highest point.
Measure below the armpits, horizontally across the fullest part of your chest. The tape measure should loosely fit around your chest.
Fit the tape measure across your waist right over your belly button. Exhale slighty and do not flex your abdominal muscles.
Determine your hip measurement by placing the tape measure across the fullest part of your hip.
Measure the distance between your crotch and the bottom of your feet in a vertical line. Slightly spread your feet and keep your balance evenly distributed to booth legs.
Measure the distance between your hip and the bottom of your feet in a vertical line. Slightly spread your feet and keep your balance evenly distributed to booth legs.
from the side of the neck: Measure the distance from the side of the neck, across the shoulder, over the bent elbow to the center of the wrist bone.
from neck: Measure the distance from the center back of the neck, across the shoulder, over the bent elbow to the center of the wrist bone.
from shoulder: Measure the distance from the the shoulder over the bent elbow to the center of the wrist bone.
Measure vertically from the shoulder to the waistline.
Headwear and helmets
Measure your head circumference starting on your forehead. Your head circumference is your headwear size.
Gloves
Measure the hand circumference just above the ankles, but without the thumb. The measuring tape should just loosely encircle the hand. Note that the glove almost exactly fit as tight or loose how the measuring tape.
Measure the length of your hand from the tip of your middle finger straight down to the end of the ball of the thumb.
Shoes
Stand on a piece of paper and tightly outline the shape of your foot with a pencil. Now measure the distance from the heel to the tip of your toe.
Arm Warmers / Guards
Measure with slightly angled arm. Measure along the outside of the elbow starting at the armpit to the narrowest point of your forearm.
Measure the widest part of your upper arm. The tape measure should loosely fit around your upper arm.
Measure the narrowest part of your forearm. The tape measure should loosely fit around your forearm.
Measure your wrist. The tape measure should loosely fit around your wrist.
Leg Warmers / Guards
Measure with slightly angled leg. Measure along the outside of the knee starting at the widest part of your thigh to the narrowest point of your lower leg.
Measure the widest part of your thigh. The tape measure should loosely fit around your thigh.
Measure the widest part of your calf. The tape measure should loosely fit around your calf.
Measure the narrowest part of your calf. The tape measure should loosely fit around your ankle.
Knee Warmers / Guards
Measure with slightly angled leg. Measure along the outside of the knee starting at the widest part of your thigh to the widest point of your lower leg.
Measure the widest part of your thigh. The tape measure should loosely fit around your thigh.
Measure the circumference of your thigh at about 10 cm over the middle of the knee. The tape measure should loosely fit around your thigh.
Measure the circumference of your lower leg at about 10 cm under the middle of the knee. The tape measure should loosely fit around your lower leg.
Measure the widest part of your calf. The tape measure should loosely fit around your calf.
