I did very thorough recearch about what boots I should get for mid weight/heavy backpacking. I ended up before Lowa Camino and Ticam II. I decided to get Ticam II since it is adve-d by Lowa as backpacking and I like the dark brown.
When I got the right size boot (at first, because of the lowa size chart mistake, I ordered bigger size) I took it to 2 hours hike with 20kg on my back. The boots performed perfectly! It's the most sturdy and comfortable boots that I own right out of the box! I also own/ed 3 pairs of Lowa zephyrs, Lowa z-6, the north face hedgehog III, Belleville tactical research 960z and some other boost that not worth mentioning. So I got some boots to compare to. 1 downside - weight.
Regards.
