Icebug NewRun BUGrip GTX Shoes Men - Black / Poison

New Run is the first true road running shoe from ICEBUG. Made for those who want to train hard and log miles all year round. Because why change your training routine - or stop it completely - just because snow and ice have hit the streets. Designed with comfort in mind, the New Run's last is shaped to keep the foot in a roomy toe box and straight toe line to allow room to move in cold temperatures. This allows an insulating layer of warm air to form between the shoe and the foot.

The well-cushioned sole offers the runner's foot comfort and stability at the same time - even on long distances. The shoe is crowned by the waterproof GORE-TEX® upper and the practical BOA® Fit lacing system. Practical feature for the winter: Eyelets are integrated into the upper, where gaiters can be attached if required. In the New Run, running on winter surfaces feels like a casual walk in the park.

BUGrip

BUGrip® - This is the name of the ICEBUG traction technology for particularly slippery conditions. The sole is equipped with a special rubber compound including 14-19 steel studs that react dynamically to different surface hardness and body weight. When the sole comes into contact with a hard surface, the studs move inside the rubber - on dry asphalt they largely sink in, offering an almost unchanged running feel and only a soft clack indicates that the anti-slip is in play.

If the leg is on a muddy or icy surface, the lugs exert dynamic pressure on the ground, clinging to the surface via this pressure and giving the foot grip without slipping. As a result, BUGrip® soles work on a wide variety of surfaces - from wet asphalt to pure ice. There is little to no wear and tear: The tip of the spikes is made of tungsten carbide, a material that is 25 times harder than steel and nearly as robust as diamond.
