Limited special edition!
To help as many children as possible is the ultimate goal.
SQLab supports the "Radeln und Helfen e.V." cycling charity club with a limited special edition of the 611 Ergowave S-Tube active. Motivation, recognition and the proceeds of 10€ per saddle support the club and benefit the children. The purpose of the association is the promotion of cycling and the support of disadvantaged, handicapped and otherwise needy children. The collected money financially supports various selected aid organizations, self-help groups and individuals.
Increased performance through perfect ergonomics!
The 611 ERGOWAVE® active has been precisely tuned to the needs of off-road terrain and perfected to meet the requirements of all-mountain and enduro riding. The saddle's wave-like shape and raised rear provide perfect support and optimum pressure distribution down to the deep structures of the body, which significantly improves power transmission to the pedal.
- Unisex saddle for men & women
- Water repellent cover & super light padding
- deeper saddle nose relieves dam area and sensitive structures
The deeper lying nose in combination with the recess in the middle creates more space for the dam area. The saddle nose of the 611 is approx. 4mm wider than that of the 612 for even better pressure relief, especially on longer ascents in the terrain, but is just as flat and designed with a large a contact surface as possible. The padding material was specially adapted to the MTB requirements and has more damping in rough terrain than the 612 ERGOWAVE® models. A high-quality Kevlar cover protects the particularly stressed areas on the saddle. The SQlab active saddle technology allows the saddle to follow the pedaling movement, increasing comfort, mobilizing the intervertebral discs and minimizing pressure on the seat bones.
Technologies & Innovations of the 611 Ergowave Active
The ERGOWAVE® Form was developed from a SQlab research project in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt and the University Hospital Frankfurt, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. For the first time in a research project, the occurring forces and the maximum load limits between man and bicycle saddle could be calculated down to the deepest structures of the body. The final result is the ERGOWAVE® saddle shape for the sporty seating position on the racing bike and MTB, with absolute best values below the maximum load limits in all tests.
The wave-shaped elevation of the ERGOWAVE® saddles stretching forward from the rear perfectly matches the shape of the most bulbous ischial branches. The rider does not have to adopt any power-sapping protective postures. All the energy is available for propulsion.
Deep and Flat
The flat, only slightly curved shape of the saddle nose results in a maximum contact surface with correspondingly little pressure. The nose is very narrow and the lateral friction during the pedaling movement is reduced to a minimum. This shape, called SQlab MaxContact®, has already proven itself in several other racing models in recent years and has been implemented even more consistently for the ERGOWAVE® series.
The Active System permits physiologically correct pelvic movement, which relieves the intervertebral disc and minimizes pressure on the seat bone. The Active system with the black damper is slightly tighter and can be adjusted via four comfort sticks.
The proven SQlab active technology has been tightened for Road and MTB applications and can be adjusted to three degrees of hardness using elastomers.
