Xenofit has developed the isotonic Xenofit Competiton especially for longer endurance units. During long-term exertion over several hours, the body's own carbohydrate stores (= glycogen stores) in the stressed muscles are not sufficient to provide energy. During exercise, a balanced mixture of blood sugar-stabilizing carbohydrates is necessary to maintain endurance performance. Xenofit Competition supplies not only short-chain, rapidly available sugars such as fructose, glucose and sucrose (mono- and disaccharides) but also the longer-chain maltodextrin (oligosaccharide), which forms the main component. Xenofit competition ensures rapid fluid absorption into the blood due to its optimised composition of carbohydrates (approx. 78g/litre) in combination with sodium (700mg/litre). It also contains B vitamins necessary for carbohydrate and energy metabolism, as well as the mineral magnesium and vitamin C.

Application:
For longer endurance sessions. For an isotonic mixture, add the contents of the sachet to a drinking bottle containing 500 ml of water and shake well until the drink powder is completely dissolved. Drink the finished beverage in several small portions, sipping at a time.

For optimal effectiveness, drink at least 40 g (equivalent to approx. 500 ml of finished drink) of carbohydrates per hour of physical exertion in sips.
