This fleece jacket is developed for all-year mountaineering but works perfectly for general outdoor activities ranging from trekking to ski touring or mountain biking. Norrøna use a Polartec Power grid fabric because it provides good stretch, quick dry, good warmth-to-weight properties and durability. The main fabric is made of recycled polyester and elastane with the weight of 166 g/m2 and is knitted in jersey grid structure on the interior for extra stretch and warmth.
Main features include: A chest pocket, two hand warming pockets, a fitted hood that can easily fit underneath a helmet, stretchy elastic cuffs with thumb holes. This jacket has a technical fit that is slightly longer in the back.
The ability to maximize base efficiency through enhanced performance benefits is central to the design of Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric. By constructing a symmetrical grid pattern Polartec were able to not only increase thermal warmth and mechanical wicking capabilities, but actually reduce the overall fabric mass and weight. Benefits of products using the Polartec® Power Grid® are fast drying, great breathability, lightweight and easy care.
