It should be almost superfluous to have to introduce the adidas brand to anyone, because probably everyone knows the logo with the three stripes. The German sporting goods manufacturer has been producing performance-oriented sportswear, streetwear, sports shoes and fitness accessories for more than 60 years and is now one of the global players in the sports industry. At the beginning of the 1920s, everything began in the laundry room of the brothers Adolf and Rudolf Dassler in Herzogenaurach, where shoes were produced that were optimally adapted to the athlete's foot. At the beginning, the company was dedicated to the production of shoes for runners and footballers; from around 1930, tennis shoes were also produced. Today's adidas AG was founded in 1949 by Adolf "Adi" Dassler, had only 49 employees at that time and soon afterwards also equipped the German national football team.
