Details of the Mavic Crossmax SL

The rims are made with the patented Fore technology featuring a fully sealed upper rim bridge that eliminates the need for rim tape. That saves 30 grams per wheel, not to mention the hassle of using tape to set up tubeless tires. The rim has a 25mm internal width with a durable hookless profile. The Black Shield technology gives them a distinctive, modern look that protects against scratches and abrasions.

24 straight-pull spokes ensure a strong connection between the rim and hub, resulting in a perfect balance between efficiency and durability. Special machining on the hub ensures that the spoke head is secured but can still travel in the slot. This allows the wheel to absorb impacts from trail obstacles.

The Instant Drive 360 freewheel coupled with the automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) delivers fast engagement and durability. Engineered specifically for disc brakes.
