The Wechsel Precursor tent is a tent in geodesic construction that has been known and tested for years. This construction is predestined for use in four seasons and is particularly suitable for winter and high mountain use. It offers a very large inner tent, suitable for three to four people, as well as a very large arched apse at the main entrance and a smaller, second apse at the rear entrance. The large arched apse significantly increases storage space or facilitates cooking inside the apse (note protective measures when cooking on the tent).
The inner tent is first pitched with color-coded poles. The four poles on the inner tent cross 7 times, with the side crossings pulled higher. The optimized guy points, including four force triangles, provide tremendous storm stability. New is an additional Ridge Pole which on the one hand sets up the ventilation flaps and on the other hand, prevents the typical for this type of construction lying on top of each other of inner and outer tent. The ventilation flaps are to be closed by zipper completely. In the inner tent there are plenty of mesh pockets for storing small items. All mosquito nets on the inner tent can be completely covered. The opened inner tent doors do not need to be rolled up, but can simply be stuffed into two mesh pockets in the roof.
All tents of the Unlimited Line have closable ventilation flaps, which can also be operated from the inside. Included are a compression stuff sack, reflective guy lines with roll-up pockets and sturdy tent pegs.
Dyneema guy ropes
The guy lines are woven from extremely tensile Dyneema. Reflective strips are also integrated for high visibility. Linelocks allow for easy and secure adjustment. In addition, Guyline Pockets provide better visibility and tidiness.
APEX Ventilation Flaps
The APEX ventilation flaps are located at the apex of the flow of the wind hitting the tent. Here, the wind creates positive pressure on the facing side of the tent and negative pressure on the other side at the same time. In addition, they are incorporated into construction-related seams. They do not need to be specially braced and lie flat when closed by Velcro, annoying fluttering in the wind is thus avoided. In the Unlimited Line they can also be operated from the inside.
Color-coded poles
The boom end tips and the corresponding boom channel inputs are color-coded. This allows for quick and easy setup.
Inner tent - outer tent connection
The connection between the inner and outer tent is solved in a practical and sustainable way. The rubber can be knotted tighter or easily replaced if necessary.
Upsidedown Buckles
The decisive child's play connection from the inner to the outer tent: even without additional tensioning by means of pegs, it is possible to pull the outer tent taut with one hand, as the buckles are attached in the direction of pull.
Mosquito net and inner tent
The inner tent is made of a breathable and water-repellent fabric. Mosquito nets are located by the vents and in the upper half of the doors. As a result, drops of condensation do not penetrate the interior, but bead up on the outside. In addition, there is no unpleasant draught in the tent.
Double Loops
Double Loops allow for two different guy line options.
Adjustable peg loops
The peg loops are infinitely adjustable. Thus, I can easily re-tension the tent and am more flexible when setting the pegs.
