Advanced Suspension Technology from Sweden

Even though they have only been working in the MTB business for a few years together with development partners like Specialized and HOPE, the engineers and technicians of Öhlins Racing were able to prove their expertise very soon. In 2017, just during the first year of a cooperation between the Specialized Gravity Team and Öhlins, Miranda Miller and Loic Bruni secured double downhill world championships using Öhlins suspension.

More than 40 years of experience and over 300 World Championship titles

It is hard to believe that the success story of Öhlins started more than 40 years ago with Kenth Öhlin turning the lathes in his father’s workshop in pursuit of personal on-track performance to boost his own racing, dissatisfied with the market’s offerings at the time. It did not take long before friends and even competitors began to seek Kenth’s support and in 1976 the company was founded.
Just two years later, an Öhlins shock was ridden to its first world championship success in the hands of Russian MX star Guennady Moiseev. Moving on with racing support, Öhlins counts over 300 international titles and since 2017, there are two world champions in MTB downhill to be announced. Miranda Miller and Loic Bruni secured double success using Öhlins suspension – just under one year after the cooperation between Öhlins and the Specialized Gravity Team began!
The racetrack has been always the development area and each year the company re-invests around 17% of its turnover into research and development. Many technologies common today, such as upside down forks, have been developed by Swedish engineers.
Despite Öhlins has entered the MTB business just a few years ago and having to persist against the likes of well-established competitors, their product range is constantly growing. The racing success already proves the stunning performance and reliability of Öhlins’ products, which are developed and produced with 100% focus on perfect quality.

Öhlins Federgabeln und Dämpfer für alle Einsatzbereiche

The roots of Öhlins Suspension products are clearly in downhill mountain bike riding. Despite many World Cup victories, the Swedes never got tired of further improving the spring and damping characteristics of the DH38 dual crown fork available with 180 or 200 mm travel. The revised version DH38m.1 offers a more refined small bump sensitivity, but still remains capable of coping with big hits, while always maintaining contact to the ground to save valuable seconds. Combined with the award-winning TTX 22M Coil shock, you are ready for hard downhill gravity action and smooth riding in a way never seen before.
Fans of steel springs can rest assured, because the TTX 22, available as normal or Trunnion model, in standard or metric lengths, also performs perfectly on enduro bikes.
And what you should choose for the front wheel? Of course, the Öhlins RXF36 EVO Coil - this fork, available for 27.5 or 29 inch wheels, convinces with its massive 36 mm chassis and up to 160 mm suspension travel even when riding bigger drops.
Thanks to the twin tube damping, the heart of most Öhlins forks and rear shocks, and smooth SKF seals, the Öhlins RXF series also convinces with finest responsiveness on small and medium bumps
For trail riding, you can choose the lighter RXF36 M.2 with air suspension or the RXF34 with 34 mm stanchions.
In addition to lower weight, air-sprung mountain bike suspensions also allow for a wider on-trail adjustment range, which is why Öhlins has developed the TTX Air, based on the TTX 22 M Coil. It is so versatile that it is convincing on trail bikes as well as on enduro and downhill machines.
Are you interested in something even lighter? Then the Öhlins STX22 Air shock is just right for you! It offers maximum traction and control and still takes even the biggest impacts.
