DTC (dual tread compound)

Kenda's L3R PRO compound (60 shore A durometer) in the center and the cornering knobs have STICK-E compound (50 shore A durometer). The benefits are great center tread life, and great cornering control and grip. Found typically in Kenda's Legends Series and race/performance tires.

SCT (Sealant Compatible Tire)

Existing Kenda-Technologies were modified, making them now compatible with fluid based tubeless conversion systems. The air density is improved by tighter rubber layers with only very little weight increase. SCT tires are much lighter than UST tires.
When used with a liquid sealant, SCT tires form an air tight seal, similar to the UST tire, but can be used on almost all bicycle rims. SCT tires have an additional layer of material built into the casing of the tire that allows it to be compatible with the various chemicals in liquid sealants. The benefits of SCT tires, when used with sealant, allows the rider to use lower air pressures as well as take full advantage of the liquid sealant compound when it comes to sealing most punctures or cuts in a tire.
