The Byway is for days of endless gravel rides while providing noticeable efficiency on any surface. A fast, smooth centerline is paired with a textured intermediate section that provides a seamless transition to small outer lugs for consistent traction on gravel. Prominent outer lugs also extend beyond the sidewall for added protection against roadside discomfort of all shapes and sizes.

TCS (Tubeless Compatible System)

Tires with the TCS designation are tubeless ready. They feature a durable aramid bead combined with a supple casing. TCS tires must be mounted on a Tubeless-Ready rim with tubeless rim tape, tubeless valve and tire sealant.

Slash Guard 2 (SG2)

Slash Guard 2 puncture protection features a lightweight, ultra-thin nylon insert that runs from tire bead to tire bead and has a flat profile, reducing the amount of rubber needed to fill the gaps between fibers compared to traditional round fibers.

All WTB Gravel tires with SG2 puncture protection also feature 120 TPI casing to minimize the weight and overall thickness of the tire while increasing its flexibility. While SG2 was developed specifically as a puncture protection material, it provides just also in High Pressure Gravel and Adventure Road tires for reliable air trapping.
