Description of Panaracer Gravelking Slick TLC Folding Tire - 32-622 - black

Gravelking a tire for dirt or rough and smooth pavement!

For cyclists are looking to expand their cycling horizons. That includes roads that may not be suited for normal road tires. The Panaracer Gravel King tire solves that problem. In four widths available to suit any rider's tastes. ZSG Natural rubber compound, puncture protection breaker and a special low rolling resistance AX-A casing make the Gravel King a go-anywhere tire.
Tubeless compatible.

ZSG Natural Compound

This compound has the same low rolling resistance as the premium compound. Its enhanced wear resistance makes it perfect for a long lasting training tire with an excellent ride.

AX-A Casing Cord

AX-A technology uses extremely narrow cord which is weaved at a super high density into the casing for lightness and flexibility. This increased density improves resistance to cuts and abrasions.

Anti-Flat Casing

Anti-puncture reinforcement throughout the tire strengthens resistance to cuts and pinch flats.
Weight supplement: manufacturer's specs

Note: Tubeless Ready tires require tubeless compatible rims/wheels, tubeless valves, tubeless rim tape and sealing fluid for tubeless mounting. Sealant fluid is not required for tubeless UST tires, but is recommended for increased puncture protection. Installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel.

Customer Reviews
When I first put these on my bike, I loved them. They have a great ride quality - plenty of grip on hardpack or tarmac, supple and comfortable ride and lightweight.
I have had so many punctures. At first I used them with tubes, then tried going tubeless, I have had numerous punctures that won't seal, or take a long time to seal because they are so flimsy. Inspecting the tyres after only a month's use there are more holes in them than a swiss cheese.
I was recommended these as a good winter commuting tyre - I think that was bad advice. Maybe they work well as a fast gravel tyre for summer excursions on hard-packed surfaces, but round town, these are just too susceptible to sharp stones, glass and road debris.

These are wonderful lightwieght tires for smooth & rough roads, fine gravel or hardpacked trails. Avoid rough gravel and mud though. The central thread is pretty tough and can take a lot of beating. The side walls are delicate though. I got a significant cut to the sidewall during my first gravel ride (fixed with a patch from inside of the tire). I turned them to tubeless then using Schwalbe selant and the setup was easy with my wheels (Fulcrum 700), however they slowly lost air even after few weeks after setup. I found out the delicate side walls and the sealant being the problem. Air was escaping through small brusies on the sides and sealant was not able to fix this. I since switched to Caffelatex sealat and they're airtight since.
I tried 32 mm tlc tires. They are good on pavement and dry dirt, dangerous on wet dirt and grass: narrow central tread grips well, but sides are pure slick and slide easily when hit the road. Traction disappears suddenly, you do not have time to react. They should put central tread on whole tire.
