The Croot MIPS is a variable and comfortable enduro helmet with the additional safety feature MIPS. Biking is simply fun with the Croot MIPS. The combination of a good fit, cool look and plenty of protection is the answer to the requirements of a versatile enduro helmet. The Croot MIPS is also well ventilated, making it suitable for enduro, all-mountain and trail use. MIPS, which absorbs rotational forces in the event of a fall, is integrated into the Run System. Technologies
3D-FIT
The height of the Run system can be adjusted at the back of the head using the 3D-Fit system. The helmet can be perfectly adjusted to the head in five stages. This increases wearer comfort, safety and accuracy of fit.
AIRFLOW VENTING
One factor that has a major influence on wearing comfort is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the ventilation openings is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, where it is guided along the head and can flow out again at the rear. The head is therefore always pleasantly air-conditioned.
CERAMIC SHELL
All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process have a robust Ceramic Shell. In this process, a polycarbonate plate is stretched under high heat to the shape of the future helmet and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic Shell is characterized by several qualities: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
CUSTOM FIT
Costum Fit The Run System is an adjustment system at the back of the head that can be used to adjust the height of the Run System in several stages. This allows the optimum fit of the helmet to be adjusted for a wide variety of head shapes. Pressure points are a thing of the past, the helmet fits perfectly and safety is increased.
EDGE PROTECT
Edge Protect is an additional polycarbonate plate that enhances Inmold helmets. It covers the edges on the underside of the helmet. This protects the Hi-EPS and increases the durability of the helmet.
ERGOMATIC
Proven hundreds of thousands of times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the belt buckle with the red push button and multi-stage automatic latching mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - uphill you can loosen the strap, downhill you can tighten it - and in the event of a fall it is not possible for the locking mechanism to open by itself.
HI-EPS
The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrol). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS ensures optimum protection and at the same time enables extra-thin wall thicknesses and narrow helmet shapes.
INMOLD
In the Inmold production process, the polycarbonate upper shell of the helmet is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under high heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable bond between the upper and lower shells. Advantage: The helmet is very light and extremely stable at the same time.
MIPS
MIPS is a system that protects against brain injuries that can be caused by rotational movements in the event of an impact. The low-friction insert enables a sliding movement of 10-15 mm in all directions and thus reduces the rotational movement in the event of a fall. MIPS thus offers additional protection.
RUN SYSTEM ERGO FLEX MIPS
The first fitting system with integrated MIPS. The RUN SYSTEM ERGO FLEX MIPS offers individual, height-adjustable adjustment of the helmet. This combination not only increases comfort, but also ensures additional safety in the event of impacts with rotational forces.
Y-CLIP
A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixation of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role in this. The Y-clip system guarantees millimeter-precise adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
