Spurcycle Fastening Bolt for Bell

If the screw is tightened too tightly, it can be damaged. Spurcycle therefore recommends a maximum tightening torque of 2.5 Nm. The best way to determine this without a torque wrench is to use a small hexagonal wrench aligned in the longitudinal direction of the bolt. You then tighten this firmly. In practice, this means that you should tighten the bolt slowly until the bell can no longer be turned easily on the handlebars and then stop. Note that the bell should move on impact to avoid damage in the event of a fall.

Note: The bolt must be paired with Spurcycle rubber grommet to properly isolate the dome and maintain full resonance. Please make sure to transfer the existing grommet as well or purchase replacement rubber parts that can be used with any new bolt.
