FOX 36 SL – Short Travel. Hard Hitting. All Trail.

As an evolution of the proven 36 chassis, specifically tuned for travel ranges of 120 to 140 mm, the SL model gives modern trail riders the confidence they need to tackle big jumps. With its low weight, the lightest 36 to date delivers a smooth ride and responsive steering to a true trail suspension fork. The current model is equipped with the revised GRIP X damping and Glidecore air suspension, which noticeably reduces friction and resistance.

As a representative of the Performance Elite series, this suspension fork is in no way inferior to the Factory models in terms of functionality. The difference lies in the upper tubes, which are made of 7000-series aluminum and feature a black anodized finish instead of the golden Kashima coating.

GRIP X Damper | The revised version of the versatile GRIP X damping system is not only quieter but also delivers an even better riding experience. It is based on the performance of the downhill-specialized GRIP X2 damping system but weighs a full 120 grams less, making it ideal for trail riding.

Smooth Under Load | The seamlessly integrated FLOAT Glidecore air suspension reduces friction by moving with the fork under dynamic load. This movement is controlled and damped by o-rings with a large cross-section, which are particularly effective at reducing initial friction. The result is noticeably smoother operation.

Arch Above The Rest | The casting features a generatively designed arch that encloses the down tubes, thereby increasing the fork’s torsional stiffness by a full 20 % compared to its trail predecessor, the FOX 34. Strategically placed cutouts, on the other hand, help minimize weight.
