Maximum comfort, no bottoming out, and plenty of power on the climbs – a full-suspension e-MTB turns that uphill grind into a relaxed warm-up to the descent. With a full-suspension setup keeping the rear wheel planted through rock gardens and rooty sections, and a low center of gravity from the motor and integrated battery delivering a planted, controlled ride feel. You'll find a wide range of full-suspension e-MTBs for every riding style: from agile trail bikes to versatile all-mountain options, uncompromising enduro rigs, and extra-light full-suspension e-MTBs. With drivetrains from Bosch, Shimano, and TQ, in carbon or aluminum, in 29er or mullet setups.

Why a full-suspension e-bike makes all the difference

After-work laps on the local hill or an alpine summit on a long weekend – a full-suspension e-mountain bike redefines what's possible in a single day on the trail.

  • Maximum traction: Full rear suspension keeps the wheel on the ground even in rough terrain.
  • More elevation: Mid-motors with up to 100 Nm get you up steep terrain efficiently.
  • Control on descents: A low center of gravity and long travel give you confidence at speed.

Full-suspension e-MTBs at a glance

Travel, geometry, and motor concept determine where your full-suspension e-bike performs best. Trail builds climb efficiently and keep a playful feel on flowing trails. At the other end of the spectrum, enduro builds handle rough terrain with ease and stay controlled at high speed. All-mountain sits in the middle, and light e-MTBs use a compact motor for a natural ride feel. Use the Usage Bikesport filter in our shop to narrow things down by terrain.

Trail

Your companion for singletracks and low mountain tours: trail models offer 120 to 140 mm of travel, climb efficiently, and keep a playful feel on descents. Choose this if you enjoy pedaling uphill and still want to have fun in technical terrain.

All-mountain

With 140 to 160 mm of travel, all-mountain full-suspension e-bikes cover the widest range: technical trails, alpine tours, and occasional bike park days. They combine climbing ability with enough reserve for demanding descents – the right choice if you're looking for a full-suspension e-mountain bike that handles multiple terrains rather than one specific discipline.

Enduro

Steep lines, big drops, bike park days – enduro builds with 160 to 180 mm of travel and slack head angles deliver maximum control at high speed. The motor handles the climb so you arrive at the top with fresh legs. If you're chasing the limit on steep, technical descents, an e-enduro is the right choice.

Light full-suspension e-MTBs

Less motor, more bike feel: light full-suspension e-MTBs weigh 15 to 19 kg and ride close to a traditional mountain bike, with subtle support on the climbs. Compact motors (50 to 60 Nm) and smaller batteries (300 to 500 Wh) make that possible. Find them in our shop using the Light Assist filter.

Choosing the right full-suspension electric moutain bike

You know where you want to ride – now it's about matching the components to the terrain. On a full-suspension e-bike, suspension, wheel size, and drivetrain all work together: a trail build with 140 mm travel and 29-inch wheels is a very different ride from an enduro mullet with 170 mm. Frame material, battery capacity, and connectivity are all part of the picture too. With a few focused questions and our shop filters, you'll find the full-suspension e-mountain bike that fits you and your trails.

How much travel does a full-suspension e-MTB need?

120 to 150 mm works well for trail riding with a focus on climbing efficiency and flow trails. 150 to 160 mm gives you the all-mountain package: enough reserve on descents with good efficiency on the way up. From 160 mm, the focus shifts clearly to descent performance – maximum control at speed, with a bit more weight. Use the travel filter in our shop to sort by intended use.

29-inch or mullet on a full-suspension e-MTB?

29-inch wheels roll more smoothly over obstacles and offer more stability – the standard setup for trail and all-mountain builds. Mullet setups (29" front, 27.5" rear) are popular on enduro bikes: the larger front wheel adds confidence, the smaller rear adds agility. It comes down to whether you prefer stability or maneuverability.

What makes a good full-suspension e-bike drivetrain?

On a full-suspension e-mountain bike, the mid-motor sits centrally at the bottom bracket and directly influences balance and ride feel. Bosch drivetrains make up the largest share of our range, alongside motors from Shimano, Fazua, Giant, TQ, and others. Beyond torque, the tuning matters: how natural does the support feel? Use the drivetrain filter to narrow down the options. For a detailed breakdown of manufacturers, torque, position, and tuning, check out our e-bike motor guide.

How big should the battery be on a full-suspension e-MTB?

For day rides with 800 to 1,200 m of climbing, 600–700 Wh is plenty. If you regularly ride full alpine days, look at models with 750 to 800 Wh – that's where most of our range is focused. Light e-MTBs with 300 to 500 Wh target more performance-oriented riding where low weight is the priority. Some systems also support range extenders or dual-battery setups.
