Large cities are becoming ever more densely built-up and the streets are becoming increasingly crowded with cars. In principle, of course, you can ride any bike in the city. Nevertheless, special city bikes make the most sense in many cases. They are perfectly adapted to the requirements of city traffic. Also known as a cargo bike. These bikes are specially designed for the sustainable transportation of heavy loads. For this reason, they have a loading area. There are many different versions of cargo bikes. The trike (three-wheeled cargo bike), the Long John (elongated cargo bike with loading box at the front), the baker's or postal bike (with a solid luggage rack at the front and rear) or the backpacker (with a loading area at the rear) are widely used.

These are particularly robust electric bikes. They are designed to be used every day in all weathers. In principle, they combine the best of two worlds: city bikes and trekking bikes. At the same time, they also look very stylish. For this reason, most manufacturers see them as the bicycle equivalent of the SUV in the automobile. Some companies also refer to SUV bikes as crossover bikes.
