The Capitan E is Black Diamond’s bombproof, ultra-durable helmet. It offers additional protection on the sides and back, as well as a sleek, snug fit and all-day comfort. The Capitan E is made from 30% recycled materials and is known for its high durability. The helmet features a two-piece shell construction with a rigid, energy-absorbing EPS foam section on top and softer, semi-rigid EPP foam sides. As a result, the Capitan meets the UIAA’s requirements for enhanced protection on the sides and back. The Capitan’s ventilation openings provide ample breathability in warm temperatures, while the lightweight retention system ensures an optimal fit. Integrated headlamp clips with an elastic strap on the back secure your headlamp during nighttime adventures.
