The goal of the development was to create a seatpost without offset that meets the highest standards of sophistication, reliability, and adjustability. Manufacturing takes place in Chico, California, on CNC machines with strict adherence to tight tolerances. The first seatpost, the “Tall & Handsome,” was developed as a solution to the need for a seatpost with a larger size. The result was an aesthetically pleasing, robust, elegant, and easily adjustable seatpost with 26 mm of offset, which quickly became a cult classic. Due to high demand for a version without offset, a zero-offset seatpost was subsequently developed, offering the same clean design, easy adjustability, and uncompromising manufacturing quality.

During the design process, particular attention was paid to positioning the screws far enough away from the seatpost tube so that they can be easily accessed both on the road with a multi-tool and in the workshop with a torque wrench. The two-bolt clamp reliably prevents the saddle rails from slipping. The screw heads rest on spherical stainless steel washers, which allow for automatic alignment with the clamp bracket and thus ensure even force distribution. The upper clamp plate is equipped with two low-friction brass pins, which enable particularly smooth and precise adjustment of the saddle tilt and prevent the clamp from jamming.

The longitudinal position of the saddle is adjusted by evenly loosening both screws and then sliding the saddle. The clamp allows for a total adjustment of the saddle tilt of approximately 15 degrees, so that the saddle nose can be oriented both upward and downward. For precise fine-tuning of the angle, one screw is loosened and the other tightened accordingly. This clamping system is also compatible with saddles featuring oval carbon rails.

The seatpost is precision-ground in-house, while the clamp head is manufactured and machined separately. The head is then screwed into the seatpost and permanently bonded to it.  As with all aluminum seatposts, it is recommended to remove the seatpost from the frame at regular intervals, clean it, and generously apply grease to the inside of the seat tube before reinstalling the seatpost. This maintenance measure protects against corrosion and prevents the seatpost and frame from seizing together. This ensures that the seatpost can still be easily removed even after many years.
