However, the core aspects remain unchanged: fast and precise shifting, consistent braking control and seamless electronic integration. High performance, precise control and maximum reliability. The disc brake caliper in the Record 13 series ensures powerful, smooth and perfectly modulated braking performance. While the two 22-mm-diameter pistons guarantee responsiveness and controllability under all conditions, the lightweight construction made of forged aluminum helps reduce weight without compromising the system’s durability and stiffness. At the same time, the optimized brake pad retraction system eliminates friction when releasing the lever, thereby further enhancing the riding experience.

The brake pads themselves feature noise-dampening fins that not only reduce vibrations but also enable better heat dissipation to minimize the risk of glazing. Thanks to the absence of return springs, the brake pads are also easy to replace. The replacement interval can be just as easily determined using an integrated wear indicator. Campagnolo’s signature attention to detail is reflected in the tone-on-tone brand logo featuring the “winged wheel” which aesthetically complements the 2-piston brake caliper.
