Building on the technical foundation of the 13-speed drivetrain components introduced with the Super Record series, Campagnolo is expanding its portfolio to reach a wider range of athletes. However, the core aspects remain unchanged: fast and precise shifting, consistent braking control and seamless electronic integration. And all of this is tailored to the entire spectrum of modern cycling: road bike, all-road and gravel. Three disciplines. One vision.

Campagnolo Record X rear derailleur

Redefining shifting in the Gravel segment. The Record X series rear derailleur is based on the same technical architecture as the road bike model for 2x13-speed drivetrain systems, but impresses with shifting operations specifically adapted to rougher terrain. Even under high pedaling pressure, the optimized shifting travel delivers smooth, fast and immediate gear changes. The result is increased efficiency across the entire gear range.

The most prominent distinguishing feature compared to the standard version for road use is the NANO Clutch system. This micro-clutch already provided increased chain tension on the Super Record X model, resulting in greater stability on any surface. In combination with the special tooth profile of the single-chainring, this technology minimizes chain drops even under the most extreme conditions. While the upper, eccentrically shaped derailleur pulley has 12 teeth and maintains optimal chain spacing even with large cassettes, the lower and with with 16 teeth oversized derailleur pulley improves the chain guidance and quiet running. Something the X model has in common with the Record 13 rear derailleur, is the completely redesigned shifting geometry that enables gear changes with maximum smoothness and speed.

The rear derailleur’s design, with optimized positioning beneath the cassette, not only contributes to a minimalist aesthetic but also improves aerodynamics and ensures flawless alignment between the derailleur pulleys and sprockets. The result is even quieter, more precise, and more reliable shifting, even on uneven terrain. The wireless rear derailleur is powered by a removable battery that offers a range of up to 750 km and charges ultra-fast (60 minutes to 100 %). The charge status can be checked via LED, the MyCampy app or a cycling computer. In terms of appearance, the Record 13 rear derailleur features an outer carbon cage with a Direct-Mold finish, as well as anodized aluminum components with tone-on-tone details—an expression of elegance and iconic aesthetics.

NANO Clutch | Campagnolo has developed this micro clutch based on experience with the Ekar series. The system secures the chain in all conditions and ensures perfect tension at all times. No chain drops, no compromises. Just smooth and precise shifting, even when you're pushing your limits.

Unlock System | This function allows the rear derailleur to be manually unlocked and moved to the preferred position in the event of a system malfunction. Re-engagement is also possible while using the lever to shift up.
