ax-lightness Disc Wheel 1.1 Ceramic - The ultimate carbon disc rear wheel for triathlons and time trials.
The ax-lightness Disc Wheel 1.1 Ceramic is the tool for riders who won’t accept any compromises in terms of aerodynamics on flat terrain. As a full-disc carbon wheel, it eliminates all air turbulence caused by spokes, offering the maximum aerodynamic advantage a rear wheel can provide. Weighing just 970 grams (± 5%), it is also one of the lightest full-disc rear wheels on the market. A weight advantage that is particularly noticeable during sprints and long flat sections. The maximum rider weight is 120 kg.

The disc’s aerodynamic design is engineered for maximum efficiency: A slight curvature in the center of the disc and an aerodynamic 8 mm offset specifically deflect air, reduce turbulence, and improve riding stability even in crosswinds. The clincher version with hooks and tubeless ready features a 28 mm outer width and a 22 mm inner rim width. Optimized for road bike tires starting at 25 mm. A durable 3M sticker for valve access is reusable up to 20 times and keeps the aerodynamic line seamlessly closed.

At the heart of the system is the in-house ax-lightness ULTRA hub with ceramic bearings, which generate measurably less friction than steel bearings and ensure superior smoothness even at maximum speeds. The brake rotors are mounted via Center Lock, and the axle is a 12x142mm thru axle version.
